Sell on Etsy
Only for what Etsy allows: your own designs, made by a factory you name as your production partner, and craft supplies. Etsy does not allow reselling finished goods you didn't make or design, and we won't set that up.

What fits Etsy
Etsy is for items you make or design, vintage, and craft supplies. Read its standards before you list: Etsy's Creativity Standards.
| What you sell | Fits Etsy? | How we help |
|---|---|---|
| Your own design, made by a factory | Yes, when the listing names the factory as production partner | We buy from the 1688 factory, check that it came out right, pack it in your box |
| Craft supplies: beads, fabric, findings, tools | Yes, as supplies | Import them like any product |
| A finished item picked from a catalogue | No | We don't set it up. Sell it on your own store instead. |
How Etsy orders reach us
Our Etsy app connects your shop through Etsy's API: orders for linked listings come to us, and tracking goes back. Etsy orders don't pass through Shopify.
- Your designA print, a pattern, a shape you created
- A 1688 factory makes itNamed on your listing as production partner
- the NinjaBuy Etsy appA buyer orders on Etsy
- Paid from your balance, bought in ChinaWe pay the seller and follow the parcel to our warehouse
- Checked with photosYou see the real item before it leaves
- Shipped in your boxThe tracking number goes back to the order
Set it up
- Find a maker for your design
Paste a 1688 factory's link, search factories in Find products, or ask us to find one that does custom work. Agree samples with the factory before you list.
- Name your production partner on the listing
That is the factory, not NinjaBuy: we buy, check and ship, we don't make anything.
- Connect your Etsy shop: Connect Etsy in your NinjaBuy account
Etsy asks you to approve the app's access to your listings and orders.
- Link each listing to its maker, or to stock on your shelf
- Set an honest processing time
Etsy shows buyers when an order will ship. Count making, checking and the trip from China.
What syncs
| What | Direction | How |
|---|---|---|
| Orders | Etsy → NinjaBuy | Paid orders for linked listings, through Etsy's API. |
| Tracking | NinjaBuy → Etsy | We mark the order shipped with its tracking number. |
| Stock | NinjaBuy → Etsy | For craft supplies: a sold-out source sets the Etsy quantity to 0, by your sync rules. |
| Listings | – | Yours to write on Etsy. We never create Etsy listings for you. |
Etsy's Creativity Standards come first
No resellingFinished items you didn't make or design don't belong in Etsy's handmade listings.
Your design, a partner's handsItems you design and a production partner makes are allowed when the listing names the partner.
Craft suppliesSupplies may be bought in, so they are the one place a 1688 item can be sold as it is.
Processing time is a promiseSet it for making, checking and shipping from China, and update it if a factory runs late.
Troubleshooting
| What you see | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| The factory's first batch doesn't match your sample | Custom work varies between runs. | The QC photos show it before it ships. Request a return from the order; see Packaging and QC. |
| A paid order never reached NinjaBuy | Etsy sends us the order. If the site was down, or a security tool blocked the call, it waits on your side. | Check the connection status in the app. The app sends what it missed once the site can reach us again. |
| An order arrived with a line we skipped | That product is not linked to a NinjaBuy listing, so it stays with you or your other supplier. | Link it in the app; the next order for it comes to us. |
| The order shows as held | Your balance could not cover it. We never buy on credit. | Top up; held orders go ahead on their own. See held orders. |
| No tracking on the order yet | Tracking is written back once the parcel has left our warehouse. | Check the order's step in your NinjaBuy account. If it shows Shipped and Etsy doesn't, reconnect the app. |
