The app connects your Etsy shop through Etsy's API: orders for linked listings come to us, tracking goes back. Etsy orders don't pass through Shopify; Marketplace Connect doesn't list Etsy.

  1. Find a maker for your design

    Paste a 1688 factory's link, or ask us to find one that does custom work.

  2. Name your production partner

    Etsy asks listings to say who helps make the item. That is the factory, not NinjaBuy.

  3. Connect your Etsy shop

    Approve the NinjaBuy app, then link each listing to its maker or your stock.

  4. Orders come to us by themselves

    We check each item, pack it in your box and send tracking back to Etsy.

Relisting a Taobao or 1688 bestseller as it is doesn't fit Etsy's standards. We won't set that up.

    Every item is opened and photographed, so you can see your design came out right before it ships.

  • Your branded box

    Your packaging, label and thank-you card. NinjaBuy's name is nowhere on the parcel.

Rules to know

Etsy's Creativity Standards come first.

Etsy is for items that are made, designed, handpicked or sourced by the seller. Read the standards before you list.

  • Not for reselling

    A finished item you bought in and relist isn't something you made or designed. A Taobao bestseller relisted on Etsy doesn't fit.

  • Your design, a partner's hands

    Items you design and a production partner makes fit, as long as the listing names the partner.

  • Craft supplies

    Beads, fabric, findings and tools you source are their own kind of item. They are the one place a 1688 item can be sold as it is.

  • Processing time is a promise

    Etsy shows buyers when an order will ship. Set it for making, checking and the trip from China.

What one order costs

A bag in your pattern, made to order.

One unit from a factory you named, worked out with the fees and the shipping rate we charge today. Samples and minimum runs are between you and the factory.

An example: the product, its price and its weight are made up. The fees, the tax and the shipping rate are the ones we charge today. Shipping is priced on the weight we measure in our warehouse. Your channel's own fees and your selling price aren't in it.

Questions sellers ask

Can I dropship Taobao products on Etsy?
No. A finished item you bought in isn't one you made or designed, and we won't set that up.
What counts as my own design?
Something you created: a print, a pattern, a shape. Picking an item from a catalogue and putting it in your box doesn't make it yours.
Does NinjaBuy make products?
No. We buy from 1688 factories that do custom work, check what they send and ship it. The factory is your production partner.
How do craft supplies work?
Import them like any product. Supplies you source are their own kind of item on Etsy, so they can be sold as they are.
Do Etsy orders go through Shopify?
No. Our Etsy app connects your shop to us directly through Etsy's API.
Does tracking reach Etsy?
Yes. We mark the Etsy order shipped with its tracking number.
What does NinjaBuy cost?
The importer, the sync and the apps are free. On each order you pay for the goods, a CN¥12.00 intake fee per item group, shipping and a handling fee per parcel, with a 14% flat tax on those lines.
